Greer, SC · Performance testing
The Sports Lab.
3D running gait analysis and VO2 Master metabolic testing, in one performance-testing program led by a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Two ways to test what your body can actually do.
The Sports Lab is Zone Physical Therapy’s performance-testing program for runners and athletes who want data, not a guess. We offer metabolic testing, resting metabolic rate (RMR) and VO2 max, alongside our 3D Running Gait Analysis: a comprehensive assessment that uses advanced motion capture technology to give a detailed, three-dimensional view of your running biomechanics.
Both programs are run in-person by one of our Doctors of Physical Therapy, the same doctors who treat injuries here, so the numbers get read against your actual history and goals instead of handed to you as a printout with no context.
Resting metabolic rate & VO2 max testing.
A great way to see how aerobically fit you actually are, and to make sure your training is doing what it’s supposed to.
VO2 max testing is useful for endurance athletes as well as team-sport athletes who deal with more start-stop, cutting movement. We can set up different tests depending on your sport’s demands. Our VO2 Master device doesn’t require you to be hooked up to any hoses, so we can run a standard treadmill or bike test, or take it out to the field, ice, or court.
The #1 running clinic in Greer and Greenville.
A comprehensive assessment that uses advanced motion capture technology for a detailed, three-dimensional view of your running biomechanics.
By analyzing factors like joint angles, stride length, and muscle engagement, we can identify inefficiencies and potential injury risks that may be holding you back. Interested in taking your run training to the next level? Run analysis and coaching can help you improve as a runner, whether you’re chasing a time or just trying to stay off our schedule with an injury.

The people who end up filling this out are rarely in the worst pain of their life. They’re just done working around it, done picking the errand that doesn’t require the stairs. If that’s the stage you’re at, this is the part where you stop researching and start.
